Copyright, as the name suggests, is the exclusive right to make or permit the making of reproductions. This includes the use (i.e. reproduction) on the Internet.
The copyright will always remain with the photographer, but you typically will be given the right to use the photographs in certain ways
What you are allowed to do with the photographs from a prints for time shoot is explained under permitted uses.
Different photographers will handle this in different ways.
I see our TFCD work together as a collaborative effort. You have put as much into our session in your time and effort as I have - to that end you have the right to post the images on the internet or display them in other ways, or make prints on your own, for your promotion and advancement, I have the same right.
Unless agreed upon mutually before the shoot, I also retain the right to sell the photographs for profit to whomever I feel legitimate without further compensation to you.
