There are no hard rules as to how many prints or digital files a model gets from a shoot. Many aspiring models want to receive mainly digital files to use on their own website, a modeling site or for distribution on CD. For the more prestigious modeling jobs with the top agencies you should still have a portfolio with prints but even this is changing rapidly thanks to the rise in quality digital cameras.
Think quality not quantity! Ten or twenty strong photographs in a portfolio are better than fifty mediocre ones.
For my own TFP/TFCD shoots, I offer you the best of both worlds: You get a CD the day of the shoot with all of the images we create together in an Internet resolution (1728 x 1152 pixels), then a CD of a carefully edited selection of the best digital images from the shoot in full high resolution (4992 x 3328 pixels), plus a handful of 8x10 photographs in exhibition quality prints.
If you want more prints, you can buy them from me at a modest price.
For my straight TFCD shoots, You get a CD the day of the shoot with all of the images we create together in an resolution (1728 x 1152 pixels), then a CD of a carefully edited selection of the best digital images from the shoot in full high resolution (4992 x 3328 pixels)
My work does not know the term "quick, cheap and dirty". I take great pride in all my work and put the same amount of effort, time and care into my personal work as into my paid commercial work.
